I am delighted to write about a new 'discovery' for my husband and myself. Fluid Dynamics.

We own two homes, one in Florida and one in California. Both now have the Housetron System installed in our incoming water source.

We were introduced to this product in Florida. A place where water issues are not only notorious but prevalent. We had just spent significant funds remodeling our home and installing a tank-less water heater and we wanted to ensure it's useful life, free of the known problems in the area. We couldn't be happier with this product. We are now several years in residence and are very satisfied with the results so far.

So happy, in fact that we wanted to do the same for our home in California. We have issues here as well with hard water and scale being the major offenders. Having dealt with these issues in commercial property, I am very aware of the costly process of water softener systems and the ongoing problems with hard water scale. We hired our trusted plumber to do the installation in our home and were surprised to learn he too is impressed with the Fluid Dynamics system and touted it's effectiveness in resolving some pesky problems with the state's water supply. And THAT from a gentleman who made weekly visits to my former place of business...had I known about the Housetron System then I could have saved a bundle of money for the company! But it's never too late to learn!

I bought my Housetron Memorial Day weekend 2011. Before I remodeled our master bathroom we had to use a squeegee every time we showered in order to keep the scale half way under control and then wipe it down with a towel. We still had scale buildup and had to clean the tile and door constantly to keep it looking half way decent.

At the time, I was remodeling my master bath I knew I was going to need something to help control the scale, the shower heads I was installing and all the glass enclosures were much more than I had before. I was introduced to the Fluid Dynamics Housetron by a friend. I talked with her and found out how it works I also visited the website several times. After a little bit of reading I decided to purchase the equipment which was a 1” Housetron
.
After the installation of the Housetron the glass in my new shower looks just like it did the day it was installed. There is absolutely no scale buildup at all. This shower has 3 times the amount of glass as the old one. We use no chemicals at all on it now.

Another thing I have seen is the way the dishes are coming out of the dishwasher. They sparkle; I have never seen our dishes so clean! That was the first thing I noticed within 2 weeks of the installation.
Speaking of the installation it was very simple a friend of mine and his son did the installation and confirms that it was not at all complicated. So you wouldn’t need a plumber if you are a handy man.

I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for an alternative to salt softeners or just a way to reduce the buildup of scale.

We installed a housetron unit in our home approximately one year ago. Since then we have noticed a significant reduction in the amount of scale build-up on our showerhead, icemaker and dishwasher. The difference is noticeable.

One example is our icemaker. We have an under counter U-Line icemaker. It is an expensive unit but we have had a lot of repair expense because of scale build-up. Our city has some of the worst scaling in the country.

Since installing the housetron unit, our icemaker makes approximately one-third more ice and we haven’t had any repairs on it. Because of this and what we have noticed with our shower and dishwasher, we also feel confident that our other appliances and plumbing are benefitting as well.

Needless to say, we feel as though our investment in the housetron unit was well worth the price. We recommend it to anyone dealing with similar issues as ours or those buying or building a new home.

We wished we would have installed it when our home was new so we wouldn’t have had to deal with the problems we had.

I installed a 1" Housetron myself using fittings from Home Depot, we're very happy that our water
no longer has the slimy feel that we had with our old water softener. I have a bad back so not having to buy and move salt bags is a big advantage to me.

I had a HouseTron unit installed on my home in January.  I started to notice within a month to my amazement that the white scale that I could NOT clean off of the master shower head, suddenly started to disappear and within a few weeks later the scale was gone.  I had tried every cleaner that I had, to remove the scale, for a couple of years, and nothing would work.  My only choice was to buy a new shower head.  But, after the HouseTron unit was installed, I found that extra expense unnecessary.  I decided to check the same identical shower head in my son's shower.  He moved out a couple of years ago and that shower has not been used much since then.  My shower is used at least once a day.  After I discovered that the master shower head was clearing up without any assistance from me, I wanted to wait and see if Robert's would clean itself also.  From my photos, you can see that there is still some white scale on Robert's shower head, but it is clearing up and I can easily just touch it and it falls right off.  I just wished I had taken photos of the master shower head earlier so you could see how bad it was!

I installed a Housetron unit on March 17th on my house which is an old building with
copper pipes. Although we didn't have much of a hardness problem here for a while
now (the water quality has improved a lot in the last two years), I put it on anyway.
The pipes must be a good 10-15 years old now. What a difference it has made!
Pressure is up in the pipes and although we have a pressure pump, it's not working as
hard as before. The water cistern in one of the bathrooms which used to be very slow
to fill up has had a noticeable increase in flow rate after about 3 weeks from
installation date, the shower heads, taps and valves all feel smoother and looser with
noticeably better flow rates and even the water quality feels better. Needless to say,
everyone in the house is more than happy with the results.

After hearing from Rob about the Housetron unit it made me think about installing
one at my primary residence. My challenge was unique as I was treating the inbound
water supply with a costly Culligan solution . I did not have a standard water softener
but rather a unit that needed to be changed out monthly at an annual cost greater
than one thousand dollars. After installing the Housetron I am elated to share with
any and all that the quality of our water actually increased.

If you are thinking about purchasing one...don't think twice!

My fiancé was planning to spend $5,000+ on a water softener, but we installed one of
the Housetrons instead. We're on city water and saw dramatic benefits overnight: no
more scale on shower walls, floors or glass; more suds in the shower; silkier hair;
cleaner clothes with less laundry detergent; and no more water spots on dishes and
glassware. You can even let your car air dry after washing it. If you're on a well, the
benefits will be even more dramatic . . . . and without the monthly expense of adding
salt. You can install it yourself or use a plumber.

We had the Housetron unit installed in our home just under two months ago. Pretty
simple installation. In hindsight, I wish I would have tackled the installation myself,
rather than pay our plumber. Within a week, my wife commented on how much better
her skin felt, eliminating the dry, itchy symptoms she has always experienced, even
with our usual water softener. The second thing she mentioned was the lack of salt
taste in the drinking water. Very nice benefit that we really hadn't thought about. For
me, the most impressive change I have seen is the increased water pressure from our
showers, as a result of the removal of deposits on the shower heads.
Still on my "to do" list is the removal of the old water softening unit from the
basement, and to make one last trip with the leftover bags of salt. Not having to lug
those around anymore will be a very nice change, too!

We installed a 1" Housetron along with the Whole House filtration unit over a year
ago. We had just remodeled our kitchen and bathrooms, and added a tank-less water
heater. Our water here in San Jose , California is very hard, and we are pleased to say
we have no issues with spotting on our tile or glass shower doors, no performance
issues with our tank-less water heater, and washing our cars is great, since we get no
spotting on them when we wipe them down after washing. We occasionally drive off
and air dry them and get few to no spots then either. If we do get spotting, they wipe
off with a damp towel. It's been great so far. When Tom told us how great these units
were, we were a bit skeptical since they look too simple, but I can't tell you how
happy we are that we had them installed. The fact that the units require no salt, no
chemicals, and no electricity, satisfies our effort to be a "Green Family House" to
help with conservation.
